It was overcast and not very colorful at the lake this morning, but I had to go.
It Is the sunflower state after all.
Tonight I discovered my new favorite restaurant. I had been without a favorite local restaurant for a while after Jade closed. Hannah had been telling me about a new restaurant that she had eaten at when she was with Forrest and has been asking us to try it. If she would have told me they had risotto we would have eaten there weeks ago, but we went there tonight. It's in half a gas station, like so many other excellent restaurants. They have two kinds of risotto, I got the Butternut Squash Risotto. I might have liked it better without the green peppers and bacon, but I liked it plenty and could only finish about half of it. Thank you Hannah and Forrest's parents. New favorite restaurant found. (oh! and they have a drive through!)
I saw the postman today walking up to my door with a long giant box in his arms. I couldn't believe someone else was getting something and I still wasn't getting my camera. But when I took the package from him I realized it WAS my camera! They just shipped it in a box about 4 times too big.
But then I had to wait 4 hours for the battery to charge - except it was really more like a little more than 3. It was well after dark by then though, and everyone was getting ready for bed so I really didn't get a chance to try it out as much as I wanted to. Just wait till tomorrow though. I'm going out on the town and trying all kinds of things.
I still love my new used dryer, and use it all the time.
This was shot in pretty low light, with the regular fill flash. Luna was eating.
I can't get this to turn for some reason. It's one of the shelves behind the front door. Some things stay there all the time, others are just there for a while. I'm posting it because it was really dark over in the corner where it sits and it still came out pretty light and Not Blurry. Love it.
So the new camera is here and life has returned to kinda normal, if it ever was normal to start with. Expect more pictures tomorrow.
A really long time ago when I was in school, I spent a lot of time sitting in the hallway. Sometimes it was because I was making up a test, but most of the time it was because I was talking when I was supposed to be quiet. I still like to talk, but now that I'm grown up I can call it blogging and no one can get me in trouble.
Welcome to my blog.
