Thursday, Feb 5
I went to work a little early on Thursday to trade out my pants and jacket for ones that were more comfy. Well, the jacket was more comfy. The pants? One size is a little too little and the next size is giant. Oh well. My costume is not going to look good no matter what I do, so I have one of each size and I’ll just switch them up.
It was the first time I did training on my own so I wasn’t sure what to do, so I took a bus to my location and waited in the break room. My trainer, Maria, came to get me. She trained me all day and I love her. She was awesome.
That day I started doing actual transactions with actual customers like a regular cast member. I was nervous but I didn’t mess anything up so it was all good. Maria told me not to be too hard on myself and kept reminding me that everyone makes mistakes. I had to take a test and have a little one on one meeting with one of my leaders.
When I got home I was beat. I had a little snack, chatted with my roomies, surfed the web a bit and went to bed way too late.
Friday, Feb 6
Even though I went to bed too late, I woke up bright and early. I slacked about a bit, wrote some stuff, cleaned some stuff and called my friend Adam so we could go to Target. I bought some groceries and a box for some under the bed storage. He hung out here for a while and then we decided to head to Downtown Disney for some shopping!
Even though I often rant about people who spend too much money on designer bags, I have to admit I bought this super cute Very Bradley Disney bag. 40% off of course, so only about 40 bucks. It's a perfect park bag and has way too many cute compartments.
Until February 12th, cast members were getting a 40% holiday bonus and I was ready to use it while I could. I spent way, way too much money. Adam needed to run to a resort to buy a book for his mom and for some truly unknown reason, we decided to hop on a Disney bus to the resort. Seriously one of the worst decisions ever. The round trip ended up taking about an hour and a half and by the time we made it back to Downtown Disney both of us were about to poke our eyes out. We had talked about stopping by the Publix later that night but that was entirely out after that trip, so I dropped Adam at his apartment and headed home.
I was so tired and frustrated and starving, I made myself some Chef Boyardee Ravioli for dinner. Seriously. It was ready in 2 minutes and so it was perfect.
I laughed a lot with my roommates and then crashed out for the night.
